Using Oracle Cards for Intuitive Guidance

Oracle cards are a powerful and versatile tool for tapping into our intuition, gaining insights, and receiving guidance from the universe. Over the years, I've had the pleasure of using various decks, but there's one that holds a special place in my heart and has become my most trusted companion – the "Wisdom of the Oracle" deck by Collette Baron-Reid. I've taken this deck with me on countless journeys all over the world, and it has been by my side during readings with thousands of clients.

Why do I love the "Wisdom of the Oracle" deck so much? It's not just about the stunning artwork and the high-quality cards; it's the deep and profound messages they convey. Each card in this deck carries a unique energy that resonates deeply with both the reader and the seeker. Collette Baron-Reid has a remarkable gift for infusing her decks with wisdom and guidance that touches the heart and soul.

What exactly are Oracle cards? Unlike Tarot cards, which follow a structured system with 78 cards, Oracle cards are more free-flowing and flexible. They typically come in various themes, and each deck contains a set of cards with images and messages that offer insight into different aspects of life, spirituality, and self-discovery. Oracle cards are not bound by traditional interpretations, allowing the user to tap into their intuition and connect with divine guidance in a personal and unique way.

Using Oracle cards is a beautiful and simple process. Here's how I incorporate them into my practice:

  • Clearing the Deck: Before every reading, I take a moment to clear the energy of the cards. I do this by shuffling them and setting an intention that the messages received are for the highest good of all.

  • Asking a Question: If I have a specific question in mind, I focus on it while shuffling the deck. However, Oracle cards are also great for general guidance and insights when you're open to whatever message the universe has for you.

  • Drawing the cards: I intuitively select cards from the deck, either by fanning them out and picking with my non-dominant hand or using a more structured spread like a three-card spread for past, present, and future insights.

  • Interpretation: The magic begins as I turn over the cards and connect with the images and messages they convey. I let my intuition guide me in understanding the meanings and how they apply to the seeker's situation.

  • Trusting the Process: The beauty of Oracle cards lies in their ability to provide messages that may not always seem obvious at first glance. Trusting the process and letting go of expectations allows profound wisdom to unfold.

The "Wisdom of the Oracle" deck has been a true friend throughout my journey, helping me gain clarity, validation, and inspiration when I needed it the most. I encourage you to explore different Oracle decks and find one that resonates with your soul. Each deck carries its unique energy and wisdom, waiting to offer guidance and support on your path of growth and empowerment.

Some other decks that I use often are Sacred Rebel Deck and Kuan Yin Oracle, both by Alana Fairchild. Her decks are stunningly beautiful and each card includes a message, a meditation, and some tools for working with the message. Tess Whitehurst also has several decks that are lovely to work with.

Whether you're new to Oracle cards or a seasoned enthusiast, they can be a wonderful addition to your spiritual toolbox. Take some time to connect with the cards, let your intuition be your guide, and embrace the wisdom they have to share.
